This quirky, iconic property sits on a hill overlooking the upper Hokianga Harbour in Rawene - Far North and is a great place to base yourself to explore the wild and untouched Hokianga. Opononi is less than 15 mins drive great swimming, stunning walks & fishing. You can also take a boat to the famous Opononi sand dunes where you can go sand boarding. Tane Mahuta and the Waipoua Forest 40 mins away.

Top House - unrivalled views and privacy

The Top House, so named because of its location, with 270 degree views, has unrivalled privacy, and it's own helipad. This recently renovated 3 bedroom house is located on 330 acres of private farmland. The house has been finished to a high standard, with excellent amenities, including hot tub with amazing views, outdoor dining and lounge spaces on 360 degree decks, WiFi, two TVs, heaps of parking, modern kitchen and luxury bathrooms, and comfortable stylish furniture throughout.

Wild Forest Treehouse Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build Wild Forest Treehouse. A space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

Old Fell Boat Shed

Located in the heart of Kohukohu village across the road from beautiful Hokianga Harbour, the historic Old Fell Boat Shed provides accommodation for up to six guests. It's the ideal timeout spot to write, paint, kayak (two on-site), fish or just relax. Cafe's, art gallery, pub and general store are a level two-minute walk. One big bedroom and two fold-out couches in the large lounge. Private courtyard and BBQ. Pet friendly and free on-street parking.
