Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

The farm is settled in the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Powerful mountains all around, sound of the fresh salmon-river, waterfall in the breath taking canyon. Aurora Borealis from your window, when the sky conditions are right. Great for getting away. Relax or be creative. Mindful hiking in the untouched nature and enjoy farm live. Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km drive from Reykjavik city center. Many points of interest are within easy reach: Golden Circle and Hvammsvik.

About 1 hour 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport. About 45 minutes from Reykjavík city centre. About 36 minutes from Þingvellir National Park. From Reykjavík, please take the second Route 460 entrance. The final 3.5 km is a typical Icelandic countryside gravel road. If using the first Route 460 entrance, the gravel section is about 7 km. Please note: For bookings of 3 guests, a comfortable temporary single bed will be prepared in the living room for the third guest.

Our house is located in a child friendly neighbourhood. In a walking distance there is a wild lava nature and beautiful lake, swimming pool, bakery, restaurant and supermarket.

A spacious first floor apartment with the private entrance. It consist of an relaxing living area with the stunning view of mountains and lupine fields. Living area has sofa , TV and open dining area with the table for 4 guests and well equipped kitchen. Bathroom with a shower. Two bedrooms : one with standard double bed, another with 2 single beds. Full size toddler bed and a crib available to add in any of these rooms. 30 km from erupting volcano !

Fjallið Úlfarfell sést vel út um eldhúsgluggann og stutt að fara í fjallgöngu. Einnig stutt að aka til Mosfellsbæjar þar sem eru td. nokkrar sundlaugar. Fyrir fjallgöngu fólk er vinsælt að ganga á Esjuna. Þingvellir eru í góðri akstursleið fyrir td. dagsferðir.

Einnig aðeins 15 mínútna keyrsla að Hvammsvík hot spring. Hér færðu sveitasælu í íslenskri náttúrufegurð en ert samt örstutt frá miðborginni og gullna hringnum. Fullkomin staðsetning. A rare private base for the August 2026 solar eclipse, with panoramic views over Hvalfjörður, Eilífsdalur and Eilífstindur, a hot tub, cold plunge and large sunset deck. Our cosy cottage is only 38 km from Reykjavík but feels fantastically remote. Being situated quite high in the hill it benefits with magnificent views, overlooking Hvalfjordur, Eilifsdalur, Midfjordur and its surrounding mountains, rivers and ocean.

This flat is newly renovated in a top location in Reykjavik. The neighbourhood is quiet but still in a walking distance to the center of the city. It´s close to a beautiful park where you can play frisby golf and go to a playground. Reykjavik´s most famous swimming pool is in a walking distance and a local grocery store just around the corner. The flat is both perfect for a family or friends.
