The village has 6 restaurants, pizzeria, a bakery 2 café/bars, artisanal shops, 2 epiceries, tabac, post office, cash dispenser, doctors & chemist. The river Orbieu provides excellent swimming in the summer months. Lagrasse's Abbey founded in the 8th century, is shared between the commune and the Chanoines monks both of whom welcome visitors. The village is very animated in the summer months with various music festivals, piano concerts,theatre, circus ,pottery & book fairs also a fine firework displat on the 14th July followed by animayions and on the 14th an even bigger display in nearby Carcassonne. The house is situated in the beautiful medieval village of Lagrasse with its cobbled streets, quiet squares, 8th century abbey and very own river beach for swimming all a short walk away. The house, is centrally placed in a quiet road with no through traffic. There is excellent wifi throughout the house. A fully equipped kitchen/dining room. Two double bedrooms, one of which has 2 additional sofa beds and a desk for home working. A modern bathroom with large shower.
