You will enjoy the rural charm of a small town off the main road that will take you straight into Waco if you go West 40 minutes or Corsicana if you go East 30 minutes. If you've ever wanted to experience living in a tiny home while fishing from the backyard come stay here! The second bedroom is a beautiful loft in this 6 year old 900 sq ft lakefront retreat. Cute Athens is only 5 miles away, and Canton's First Monday is 30 miles away. After a fun day of fishing, kayaking, SUP races, swimming in the lake, pedal boating, feeding the ducks, cornhole, or frisbee throwing enjoy a gorgeous east TX sunset with your favorite beverage and then a fire with s'mores.

Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

"The Stockard Stay Awhile" is located in the peaceful countryside 6 miles west of Athens, Texas off of Hwy 175. Recently remodeled, this charming apartment can sleep 4 comfortably. You will be close to Canton (First Monday) 25 miles, Tyler-45 miles, Cedar Creek Lake -10 miles, or Dallas -60 miles. We are located in a quiet rural area with cows, horses, and birds for neighbors. Come stay awhile and listen to the sounds of the country and soak in the beautiful pastoral scenes.-
