The cottage is a 5 minutes scenic walk to the shore,7 minutes to a cafe and 12 minutes to Rockcliffe beach. The marina village of Kippford with 2 pubs and a cafe is a 1 mile walk. 2 double bedrooms and one single bedroom. It is beautifully furnished throughout with colourful artwork,a large kitchen. It has a conservatory with views to the coast, open countryside with amazing sunsets. The cottage has large, colourful secluded garden, a spacious seated outdoor patio with a chimnea, and barbecue.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. Lovely wooden holiday lodge in a beautiful scenic area on the Solway coast. This lodge has 3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen /living area, toilet and shower room, balcony, and parking for two cars. (sorry, no pets allowed) We are 10 mins walk from the tidal estuary, cockle shell beach and woodland walks , & 2min ride from Dalbeattie 7 Stanes Mountain bike trails Sadly The Anchor village pub closed in Dec25, and The Mariner won't open until summer 26. Other pubs/takeaways within 5-10min drive.

The Steading at Nabny, a peaceful country escape

The Steading is a beautiful two-bedroom cottage with a sitting room/fully equipped kitchen log stove, in a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful countryside, a short drive from Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas. Fully equipped with linen, crockery, cutlery, and a washer/dryer/dishwasher. Two wet rooms/bathrooms, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. We welcome 1-2well-behaved dogs, but they must be on a lead whenever outside.

1 Ford View

When we are in need of an escape from our busy lives we sneak off here...very quietly in case anyone else finds out. 1 Ford View at Kippford, on the lovely Solway Riviera, is perched on the edge of the waterside, facing west for the sunset, and sleeps 4 most comfortably . You can watch the herons in the evening as they fish at the waters edge. And you might spot the local otter as he swims across to the bank below the house. It is quite a special spot.
