A quiet and private oasis overlooking native bush on our farm in Banks Peninsula. A unique, off the grid experience in our warm (centrally heated) and luxurious, brand new caravan. Gaze at the stars in your own little paradise whilst soaking in our private outdoor bath and/or enjoy exploring the spectacular bays around Banks Peninsula. Our 1/2 acre section is fully fenced so that your pet (if bringing) can roam freely. Even though we are off grid, we have great internet access (fast WIFI).

Our house has a self contained guest house situated on a 4ha (10 acre) lifestyle block offering you a quiet and peaceful location. It has a comfortable queen size bed with separate ensuite, kitchen and lounge. We can accommodate an extra adult/child (double sofa bed or single mattress) we have all the necessary things for babies and toddlers. Tea, coffee, milk and toast come free of charge. We are located 12 minutes from Christchurch CBD, near Prebbleton and 15 minutes to the airport.

Welcome to the Ponderosa B&B

Our farm-style B&B is the perfect place to relax in tranquility. Only 20 minutes from Christchurch City and two minutes to the local town, this guesthouse is the perfect rural experience without being far from where you need to go. The Ponderosa B&B is self-contained and independent from the main home, with private access and parking. We welcome dogs and can even arrange grazing for horses. Surrounded by beautiful park-like gardens our warm 2 bedroom cottage is the perfect place to unwind whether you’re on route or looking for a relaxing getaway. Thoughtfully renovated this historic grain store has been turned into a modern, spacious 2 bedroom cottage complete with open plan kitchen and living space and a light spacious conservatory. We have a friendly golden retriever who may pop down to say hello :)

Just 15 minutes from chch airport, 5 minutes to local shops and restaurants, 20 minutes into the town Centre and just over an hour to the ski fields this rural cottage is central to all your needs. 5 minutes up the road is the National Equine Centre and Mcleans Island which has walks, bike tracks, Orana Zoo and multiple paint balling and other activities. Walking distance to local wineries. The cottage is separate to our house, which is set on approx 10 acres of land.
