A self-build house situated in the forest of Mt. Yotei, Hokkaido. Every room with a stunning Mt. Yotei view. Enjoy a calm and peaceful ambient retreated away from Niseko Resort Area. In summer, you could relax in a hummock, take a walk in the forest, make a bonfire or BBQ in the front yard with chickens freely running around. After snow is covered, snowshoeing is recommended in the surrounding forest. (rental is also available) Great locale for outdoors folks, stargazers and birders.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed while the loft space consists of two single beds. A fully equipped kitchen, WIFI are standard, as well as a washer and a dryer. Alpen Retreat offers excellent value and is a great base for any holiday. There is a TV with an HDMI cable for screening Netflix's etc (no local or cable TV). You will need to rent a car with this location.

We have renewed the house but have kept the place a Japanese ski chalet, the lounge has retained the high ceilings with wood walls. We have a new kitchen, toilets with washlets, bathroom basins, all new windows throughout, and floor heating in the ski room/ entrance and first floor bathroom.
