Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

En Drôme provençale, à côté de Grignan, entre vignes et lavande, notre gîte est le seul de la propriété. Il se trouve à l'étage, pour quatre personnes adultes, attenant aux mas des propriétaires. Pièce à vivre de 48 m2, avec cuisine ouverte toute équipée, coin détente avec téléviseur 127 cms, climatisation. Suite parentale de 35 m2 avec douche italienne, double vasques, wc indépendant, climatisation. Mezzanine de 30 m2. Les deux lits font 160X200. Terrasse privative avec barbecue weber.

En pleine nature, bordée de vigne, de pins et de châtaigniers, notre maison enchantera votre séjour. Idéal pour les randonnées, les baignades dans les rivières, le repos et surtout les moments partagées dans le gîte( piscine, barbecue, grande pièce de jeux,...). Uniquement l'été, une dépendance (chambre+W.C/sdb) permettra un possible isolement pour un couple.

La Mazerie: Charming vineyard oasis with pool

This beautiful old vineyard house was built in the 18th century. My parents bought it in 1995 and, with a historical architect and much love, restored it to its original beauty. It has a beautiful covered terrace with sunlight all throughout the day, a big pool with pool house, comfortable lounging areas throughout, an orchard, a bamboo garden, a petanque pit and a charming courtyard. It's the perfect French countryside retreat, in midst the vineyards. Wine tasting is just five mins away!

Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Dans l’extrême Sud de la Lozère et un pied dans le Gard , la propriété s’étend sur 37 hectares de collines boisées, de ruisseaux et de rochers, offrant des vues lointaines sur les Cévennes alentours. Le hameau de Meyrières se mérite, au bout d’une piste forestière, le temps de quitter les trépidations habituelles du quotidien et de se laisser charmer par ce lieu secret où s’illustrent le propos de Stevenson : « Quand le présent est si absorbant, qui pourrait se tourmenter de l’avenir? ».

Private apartment of 90 square metre, in a stone built house. The flat is located in the heart of a traditional French village called "Notre-Dame de Bon secours". On the first floor, you will find a functional and furnished kitchen with an eating area, a cosy living room and a bathroom including a toilet and a shower. The second floor provides 2 large separate bedrooms, with 2 queen size beds and a single bed. A convertible sofa is available in the living room.
