Mission District Views from Private Floor with Attached Bath

Your room and attached bathroom occupy the entire first floor. You get as much privacy as you like and can access the common areas of the house on the second floor. The space features well-crafted furnishings using solid wood, marble, and steel. (Just because you’re a visitor doesn’t mean your room should feel temporary.) After a day in the City, slumber in a foam-top, queen-sized bed outfitted with 100% cotton sheets and down comforter/pillows. Of course, synthetic options are also available. Watch the City from the comfort of your own chair and bedroom windows. There’s also a desk to get some work emails out. A large wool rug adds warmth to the room’s solid hardwood floors. In addition to the full closet with wood hangers and a luggage tray, efficient storage in the room provide plenty of space for your belongings. The in-room TV is 46 inches and has its own AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu and HBO included. Plug in and recharge with smartphone cables at the ready on both nightstands. Get a feel for Silicon Valley and control your lights with smarthome light fixtures. For those of us who prefer more traditional technology, there’s a k-cup coffee maker and a mini-fridge for any leftover you bring home from SF’s many fine restaurants. Your private, ensuite bath is stocked with natural hair and body care products from San Francisco’s own Griffin Remedy. Cotton swabs and toothbrush/paste are provided. The rainfall style shower has strong water pressure. 100% Pima Cotton bath towels and mats are provided and replenished. In addition to a hair dryer, there’s a shaving/makeup mirror for you to look your best in our fair City. Your in-room minibar is complimentary and the house has high speed internet everywhere. Your area on the first floor is fully stocked for a great stay - even if you don't take advantage of the common area upstairs. Should you chose, make yourself at home in the living room and attached deck. You will not share the space with any other Airbnb guests and can use it during the day and in the evenings. It’s a great place to bring your morning coffee and plan your day or have a night cap and rehash the day's adventure. During the weekdays, you'll likely have the house to yourself in the mornings. The stove and oven are not available for guest access, but feel free to use the microwave in the kitchen. Please only eat at the dining table and clean the dishes right after you are done eating. The dining table is also a great place to get work done while watching the tropical fishes in the salt water aquarium. Think of me as your personal concierge. I’m an Airbnb regular when traveling for work and fun - so I’ve got a pretty good idea on what makes for a great trip/host. I’ve also lived in San Francisco for over 20 years - first as a starving college student and now as someone with a steady paycheck. I know the City from every budget and interest angle. I’m available to help you make the most of your stay whether you are a first time visitor or a seasoned business traveler. If you just need a place to sleep, your space on the first floor is completely private and carefully appointed so you immediately feel at home. You’ll be able to use all of its amenities without any interaction with me. If you are more social, I love meeting new people - especially over food and drinks in the evenings. Bernal Heights is a special neighborhood. It feels like a small town while still being centrally-located. It's easy to live like a local or visit all the tourist spots without battling the traffic. With an 83 Walkscore, you are close to the action. Walk to Harvest Hills Market, Precita Park Cafe, Hillside Supperclub, and two corner markets.  24th Street and all of its amenities start at just three blocks away.  All forms of shared and public transport are also right in the neighborhood. Rent bikes at Ford GoBike station, electric bikes at Scoot, and cars at Zipcar. 24th Street BART Station is a 20 minute walk away. One bus ride takes you to Union Square and the Cable Cars. Proximity to the 101 and 280 makes for quick freeway access to and from SFO, Silicon Valley and Wine Country. It also makes things super easy and quick for Lyft/uber. Unlike many parts of San Francisco, street parking remains free in Bernal Heights. Parking can get busy at the end of the work day, but I’ve never had a problem finding a spot. Complimentary disposable slippers are provided - just like a good luxury hotel. Please use the slippers, your socks, or go barefoot in the house (just no shoes). San Francisco is both beautiful and dirty. Flexible check-in and check-out times may be available with advance notice. At a minimum, we can arrange for you to store your luggage at the house. Most important, San Francisco is a diverse, open, and progressive town. Everyone is welcomed to book here. National origin, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or political affiliation is not as important as being a nice person.

Private Rooms in Modernized 1890s Victorian Home

Sip a coffee, tea, or glass of wine on the private deck of each bedroom, enjoying the city views. This 1890s Victorian home has been completely updated, boasting both period and contemporary design. It is modern, spacious, and full of natural light. Each room enjoys a comfortable queen bed with quality linens, a large walk-in closet, a vanity with spacious countertop and drawers, city views, fast internet, Flat-Screen Smart TV, and Pixie Nespresso with a selection of espressos, lungos, coffees, teas. The shared bathroom has a large, walk-in shower. The quiet, spacious rooms are on the third floor of our home (two flights of stairs), an 1890s Victorian that has been completely renovated (not just a coat of paint but down to the studs). Guests have the third floor to themselves--private and quiet. Plus each bedroom has its own private deck with city views. Guests have access to a laundry. The kitchen is available on a limited basis (a light breakfast) or storing cold drinks. We love living in San Francisco, and we look forward to sharing information on this favorite city with our guests. If you wish complete privacy, no problem. The street is quiet but the neighborhood is bustling with restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops to fit a wide range of budgets. Around the corner, B's features the city's best French pastry, which is a must. Scenic San Francisco is moments away. Transportation is easy without a car. Uber, Lyft or taxis arrive within minutes at our home, or public bus is one block away. If you have a car, parking is difficult. During the weekday, a temporary parking permit is needed beyond two hours--$6 per day and we will apply for you. A rental car is not necessary to easily get around San Francisco. SFO is 30 minutes away depending upon traffic and time of day via Uber, Lyft or taxi. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) runs from SFO every 15 minutes to downtown SF. Montgomery or Embarcadero Stations are a 10-15 minute Uber, Lyft or taxi ride or 20-30 minute bus ride away. The bedrooms are on the third floor (two flights of stairs) and share a walk-in shower and lavatory. Each bedroom has its own vanity area with generous counter top, drawers and sink, and spacious, walk-in closet. Both bedrooms have a private deck with city views. We prefer that the bedrooms are not used for meals as there are so many wonderful options for places to eat in the neighborhood in all budget ranges. The street is quiet but the neighborhood is bustling with restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops to fit a wide range of budgets. Around the corner, B's features the city's best French pastry, which is a must. Scenic San Francisco sites are moments away.

Charming Guest Room in 1907 Cottage on Russian Hill

Begin a relaxing morning out on the porch, then head to the local international market and delis. This fully-equipped suite features a comfy 4-poster bed, kitchenette, and charming dining area. It's all the comforts of home with a 20th-century vibe. Annie’s Cottage offers charming accommodations within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, China Town, North Beach and other San Francisco favorites. Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.

The home comes with a well-equipped kitchen, most typical kitchen accessories are available. Towels and basic bathroom amenties (soap, shampoo, body wash, etc..) are provided. The main TV in the living room comes with HBO, STARZ, CINEMAX and many movies on-demand. The upstairs portion of the home. GARAGE is not accessible. The space is the top unit of a 2 unit home. This Parkside/Sunset location is close to Ocean Beach and San Francisco Zoo, while many of the city's finest restaurants are within a 5-minute drive. Reach almost anywhere in the city quickly via MUNI public transportation, less then a block away. The muni train is conveniently located 1 block away, which connects to downtown, the ball park, Caltrain and almost anywhere in the city. On the same block as the home you also have the muni bus which goes to golden gate park, Golden Gate Bridge and the presidio.
