Private Cottage - Countryside Farm Stay

Situated at the edge of Baildon moor, boasting amazing views of the surrounding countryside, we are surrounded by fields and stunning views. The perfect place to relax! We are a short walk from Baildon village, where you’ll find pubs, shops, restaurants and takeaways, and Leeds city is just 15 mins on the train. We are located on our family farm with some animals on site, we have horses, dogs, cats and our two pet micro pigs Gavin & Stacey. So some farm noises are to be expected on a morning!

Sat on greenbelt land adjoining both Baildon and Ilkley Moors, the cottage is set in 12 acres of private grazing land with scenic walks, local pubs and Baildon village on its doorstep. This beautiful 2 bedroom stone-built cottage offers a comfortable stay in the charming World Heritage Site of Saltaire, which is full of history, character and stunning architecture. The village is named after Sir Titus Salt who built a textile mill, known as Salts Mill and this village on the River Aire back in the 1800s. There are many reasons why you should visit Saltaire from the spectacular architecture, to the independent shops and restaurants scattered around the village.

It is a five minute drive from the historic village of Haworth (a very dog friendly place for visitors with furry friends) and is a perfect location for visiting the Brontë parsonage where the Brontë sisters lived and the moors which inspired their writing, the Yorkshire Dales, Ilkley and Saltaire.

This is a beautiful country cottage. The entire cottage is to rent with 3 double bedrooms. The bedrooms are sumptuous with top of the range bedding feather pillows and feather duvets. There’s one king sized bed . 1 Queen sized bed and 1 double bed. I renovated the place top to bottom a few years ago . Guests will have 2 bathrooms. If you like minimalist style this may not be for you, however if you love character, cosyness and a home away from home, welcome to my cottage!

Ridings Cottage is attached to the owners historic, victorian home with connections to the Bronte sisters. It is self contained with one spacious bedroom which has a very comfortable double bed and a pull out sofa bed. We are close to Dewsbury Hospital with easy access to Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield. M1 and M62 motorway links. We have made the cottage as comfortable as possible to ensure you enjoy your stay.
