Tahaja is a tranquil getaway with a large garden, unique architecture and a rich history. It is located in the rice fields just 20 minutes’ walk from Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site. This special space was designed by renowned scholar of Himalayan architecture Niels Gutschow. BOOKINGS INCLUDE HOME-MADE DINNER AND BREAKFAST. Guests stay in separate towers but enjoy access to spacious common areas: the old farmhouse, arcade, terrace with great views and the large garden.

What sets it apart is the separation of the kitchen and dining area by a private garden, adding a touch of peacefulness and greenery to the living space. Additionally, the living space is on the bottom unit, offering separation from the bedroom in the upper unit which ensures privacy and comfort.

Our Apartment is just outside Bhaktapur Durbar Square; which in our opinion, is the most peaceful and beautiful of the three kingdoms. The longer you stay, the more the magic emerges. The apartment sits above Khauma Tol, a small temple as well as a small cafe close by. Clean air and beautiful morning light, a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
