El Nido es the top unit of a former home; there are other 2 units occupied by very decent and quite families, but they have their completely separate entrances, so you will not be sharing common spaces with anyone; in fact, the entire space is at your disposal and at your disposal only, every square foot both of the apartment and of the private deck is entirely and exclusively for your use. My partner and I are avid travelers; we are AirBnB users as well; hence, we appreciate the availability of hosts as they are locals with ample knowledge of the amenities and less obvious gems of their cities. Take in the harbor views nearby and spend a fun day out on Lake Merritt. Lake Merritt Bart Station to San Francisco: Bart takes you to San Francisco (Only 2 short stops, an about 7-minutes ride, and you are in Embarcadero, the very epicenter of “the City”). It also takes you to and from both San Francisco International and Oakland International airports. While this station is only 1.2 away from the apartment, it is a good 25 minutes-walk. It is a lot easier and comfortable if you take Uber or Lift. For those of you more intrepid, there are also bikes or even those city-scooters that people leave anywhere. A major bus line runs down the Lake on Foothill Boulevard (which you catch at the intersection of 7th Ave @ Foothill, only 800 feet away). The same line brings you back one intersection over (@ E 14th). Both streets are one way, so the nearest goes down the Lake and the subsequent brings you back. Nevertheless, as we said earlier, Taxis and app-based ride services like Uber and Lyft work quite efficiently and inexpensively in our area. Morro Bay, Montaña de Oro State Park, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, hiking and mountain bike trails, and 240 wineries are within 30 minutes drive. There is parking available for two cars, one (mid-size or smaller) off street and one on street parking permit. Free weekend street parking for any number of vehicles (10:00 pm Friday - 2:00 am Monday.) The house is not set up for children as there are breakable art pieces within reach and no safety devices on cupboards. Chemicals and pest deterrents are in unsecured cupboards. Deep sea fishing, boating, surfing, and dozens of wineries are all within easy reach. The Bob Jones trail is close by for walking and biking. San Luis Obispo (one the top five happiest places in America) is just a 15 minute drive north, where you will find great shopping, amazing restaurants, and a beautiful mission. Just south of Avila are more great beaches, outlet malls and seafood restaurants. Villa Risa is just an hour drive to Hearst Castle, passing through Morro Bay, and beautiful Cambria. You may want to check out the elephant seals at San Simeon. Villa Risa is located in the heart of the Central Coast vineyards just a short five minute walk to the shore of Avila Beach, with a park, restaurants, bike paths, and walking trails nearby. This is a beautiful Victorian house built in 1908, with delightful vintage details throughout, and recently luxurious upgrades from top to bottom. It is decorated with French Country theme. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and welcoming. House is equipped with high speed internet (free wifi), flat screen TV, and wash/dryer. Guests will have access to the entire house and the garden. I am a very easy going person. Every guest will be respected and be cared for during their stay. Absolutely no problem if you break a dish, a glass, or accidentally scratch a table or spill something on the carpet. Things are meant to be used and guests should live freely during their visit. I live in Santa Clara, 45mins south of Alameda. Not onsite most days, but always available by phone or text, and will give guests immediate attention. My kind neighbors Dean and Stacy offered to help in emergency situations. My grown up son, Sean (25), lives half miles away from the Airbnb is able to help as well. The home is in a charming neighborhood where people are very friendly and welcoming. It is walking distance to Webster Street, filled with restaurant and shops, and a few minutes walk to the Crown Beach with miles of trails and stunning views. The Victorian house is convenient and central located, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, 7 miles to Oakland International airport, 4 miles to Coliseum, Oracle Arena. Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.
