Feel spoilt by the elegance of yesteryear in the 1800’s manor of Mount Pleasant. Dine al fresco beside your private pool at this historic property nestled under Table Mountain. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

Compass Cottage, Betwixt Sea and Mountains

Unwind in this creative quiet, chilled space, close to Boulders Beach, set in the Historical Mile, central Simonstown. Eclectic design, and calming colors are on display throughout the intimate guest suite. A Fully contained space, all you need for a short or long stay. The private deck and garden are a true standout with a quiet reading nook. A minute drive to the secret beach and a two minutes walk to town, central and safe! Please note; this space is for 3 Adults Or 2 Adults and 2 children. Own entrance with security. Your own deck and private garden with deck chairs. As much as they need! I live upstairs... Simonstown is filled with history and old buildings. Loads of cafes, restaurants, cute pubs, boutiques and near the yacht basin and waterfront area, all in walking distance. It's safe, peaceful, and close to the beach. Either hire a car, or Uber, or jump on the Metrorail. Train station 5 minutes away... Will whisk you to all the trendy spots in Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. Hire Bicycles and tour the peninsula The entire cottage and patio garden are non smoking, please respect our rules

FROGGIES - self contained - 2 bedroom - seaview

The accommodation is self-contained and has a stunning sea-view. The main bedroom leads to a patio with full table and chairs. Two single beds in the second bedroom. The lounge has a flat screen TV with Netflix and You Tube. Fully fitted self catering kitchen, with eye-level oven and microwave. Separate private entrance, only 5/10 minutes walk from the beach and close to the penguin sanctuary. Our nearest shops and restuarants are in Simons Town about 4 klm away. Own transport is reccommended.

Spectacular sea views in quaint Kalk Bay

The sea views from our airbnb suite (2 bedrooms and a lounge) are fabulous. Behind us is the mountain reserve and in front lies the wide expanse of False Bay. Down below on the rocks is a natural tidal pool, safe for swimming. We are close to Kalk Bay fishing harbour, the quaint Kalk Bay village, several other tidal pools (perfect for cold swimmers!) and Fishhoek & Muizenberg beaches. We have newly renovated and enlarged our Airbnb space which is now separate from our living space and private.

This is the most beautiful village I have been to. And this is the house with the most beautiful position in this village. 5mins walk to the beach. Slightly higher positioned, to have the most amazing views of the ocean and mountains. The apartment was recently renovated with complete new furniture, you will love it! You are close to everything: Cape Point national park, a handful of beautiful cafés/restaurants within walking distance, a beautiful mountain side, wildlife & the penguin colony.

A former art studio has been converted into a beautiful little home that is attached to main house with panoramic valley view from your bed and garden. Further up in the mountain of Kronenzicht in a quiet cul-de-saq you can unsettle while having a dip in your private and heated hot tub, relax under the rain shower with stunning views on the back of table mountain and little lionshead or start your sunset walk on the beautiful sand dunes next to our property, even all the way down to Sandy Bay.

Cabin in the Woods

This is a unique "cabin in the woods" tree house style home nestled high up on a property making up part of the Table Mountain Reserve, overlooking the world heritage site "Orange Kloof" effectively the back of the Table Mountain reserve Despite its apparent remoteness, it lies just 7 min from Houtbay central district and 12 minutes from Constantia shopping centre. Home has immediate access to walking trails and Vlakenberg hiking trail. All bedrooms have stunning views onto mountain ranges.

Glencairn, tucked away between Fish Hoek and Simons Town you will find Sea Holly. With decor inspired by the blue mussel shell makes for a tranquil setting. A super practical linear kitchen with a cute dinning area. A Queen bed flanked by wall lights opening up the space on the bedside tables. The arm chairs are great for relaxing after a fun filled day. Attractions: Glencairn beach and Tidal pool only 7min walk, amazing local restaurants and shops with fresh produce and chemist 5min walk.

With it's contemporary design, rock-rustic features incorporated with stunning elevated views of the Fish Hoek area and modern amenities, the Carved rock provides a tranquil, earthy grounding sensation that brings about comfort and relaxation to all guests. Special thought had gone into the process of accommodating each guest for either business or leisure. This listing is located on a quiet secluded gravel road on a mountain and not ideal for those who demand fast conveniences.
