New! Free heat! Your private 12’x 25’ heated pool in Blue Turtle’s backyard. We are in Chicahauk, Southern Shores. Also, big 15’x 36’ heated pool next door at our residence, shared with us at times. In 2026, pools will be open from early April to 10/10. Hot tub at Blue Turtle is on second deck, and not shared. Only 10-15 minute walk to Skyline Beach , or 5 minutes drive to the Chicahauk Beach. Easy traffic -free access to nearby shops, grocery stores and restaurants. Dog and family friendly.

The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A kitchenette, with fridge, toaster, plug in cook top + more. Sit back and relax on your private deck with a grill or walk to the beach in just 5 minutes.

Historic Beach Cottage 700ft to ocean #singlestory

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Outside family dinners and corn hole tournaments are our family’s way of relaxing at this sweet cottage!

This delightful cottage is sure to be a family favorite. It has sweeping ocean views from almost every room in the house. Its rooms are bright and airy with beautiful artwork spread throughout. This home has been in our family for 50 years and we have always felt that it is the perfect beach cottage. This summer we installed a pool and couldn't ask for anything more. It truly is the icing on the cake! A perfect place to come and relax on a summer vacation.

Our 100 year old cottage is nestled in the woods just a 5 minute drive from the ocean and only 1/2 mile to trails, boat ramp & kayak launch. Hit the beach or explore the sound during the day and enjoy our rustic retreat and it's awesome outdoor living space at night: herb garden, fire pit, grill and seating area. Inside raw wood beams, floor to ceiling pine and a loft that kids will love are just some of the unique features our little cabin offers!

Private Beach! Friday to Friday rental during summer. 2-3 day rental off season (Oct-May) Our beachhouse is 1/2 block walk to our private community beach and 4 blocks from the cute town of Duck! Spend your days swimming in the sea, surfing, watching dolphins or rent bikes for the whole family from one of Duck’s many recreational businesses. Duck offers great restaurants, shopping, jet ski, paddle board, fishing, bicycle and kayak rentals.
