Gesthus - Summer House with Private Hot Tub

In 2014 we built two big luxury summerhouses, 50 m2 each. They have 2 bedrooms, one with a double queen size bed and the other with two separate beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room that fits 2 people so the summerhouses can fit 4 - 6 guests. The big terrace is very beautiful and has garden furniture and a private geothermal hot tub. The kitchen has ceramic cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kitchenware, tableware for 6, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle and dining area.

Centered between many of Iceland´s greatest nature pearls such as Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir, Jökulsárlón and many more. Many natural and historical museums in the vicinity. After a great day sight seeing it is perfect to wind down with a TV in all bedrooms and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.
