Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Our riverfront villa is a haven in the Serra do Acor mountains in central Portugal, offering an unforgettable holiday getaway for families and friends looking for adventure, relaxation and quality time together. Sleeping 11, the Quinta has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a fully furnished living area, a dining area, an outdoor kitchen, a private dining and outdoor BBQ area with charcoal grill and pizza oven, a terrace with a spectacular view of the river and forest and an outdoor pool (shared).

Quinta Das Flores

Quinta de Flores is immersed in the enchanted valley, next to the Rio Mondego, A 5 min walk away, where you can swim all day. Here you will find amazing wildlife such as otters, crayfish Mongoose and eagles that circle over head. It is a very tranquil place and if you just want to sit and mediate or love walking in nature then this is the place to be. There are lots of other activities in the local area to do , such as rock climbing, canoeing, horse riding, workshops and fun local tours.

Situated right on the banks of the Pomares river, this newly refurbished luxury 1 bedroom apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, set in the heart of the Alva Valley. The apartment has a balcony over looking the river beach of Avo, where you can enjoy the fresh water of the Alva river. Right next to the apartment you have a coffee/bakery shop, a small grocery shop, a pharmacy and a bank. Around the property you can enjoy many different walking paths in nature.

Encontro no Rio (Encounter on the River) is located on a headland directly on the Rio Mondego. In the middle of the quiet, almost untouched nature you can enjoy your holiday in one of our three uniquely designed flats. In summer, our pool or the river (direct access) offer wonderful refreshment. In the evening you can relax in our snack bar and let us spoil you with delicious food and drinks on request. You can also enjoy our horses and kayaks.
