Overlooking the Lake, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer to explore the Coromandel. A short stroll, Cooks is a beautiful sandy beach, very safe for swimming with many other stunning beaches nearby. Cooks Beach is made famous because Captain James Cook sailed on the HMS Endeavour into Mercury Bay in 1769 and anchored at Cooks Beach off Purangi.

Cooks Beach Studio Escape

Freshly renovated studio room, blonded timber, quality modern fit out and restful decor make this room a pleasure to reside in. Complete with kitchenette, located in the same space as bedroom (see pics) seperate bathroom across a small covered gangway and outdoor furniture on the rear of our reserve front property just a 2 min walk from the beach. Hahei Magic

Welcome to this charming family beach house — the perfect getaway for a family of five or two professional couples, any time of year. In winter, stay cosy indoors with board games and movie nights, or bundle up for peaceful walks along the beach. During the warmer months, make the most of long evenings with a game of Finska on the spacious lawn or unwind on the sunny outdoor deck. Ideally located just minutes from local cafes, a craft brewery, and only an 8-minute stroll to the beach.

A completely renovated light, modern, airy, private studio space equipped with everything to make your stay perfect. The space is tastefully decorated with brand new furnishings. Hanging clothes rack and specific suitcase/bag space included. Private, covered outdoor deck with lounge chairs and bbq for you to enjoy the beautiful Coromandel evenings on. The Lookout

The Lookout is a stand alone guest cabin located on an elevated private 10 acre property just 5 minutes drive to Cooks Beach. Situated next to regenerating bush, it offers views through to Mercury Bay Winery, the Purangi Estuary & beyond to Mercury Bay itself. Entirely self contained, The Lookout is lined with warm natural timbers and has a comfortable queen size bed. It also has a private deck area perfect for morning coffees, BBQs, stargazing and bird watching.

Awesome Lost Spring hot pools only 100m away. Take an easy short walk to beach, ferry and town centre. Hire electric bikes, go across the ferry and ride to Cooks beach and even Hahei. Hire kayaks and take a scenic row in the Estuary and waterways. Newly renovated, separate entrance to studio apartment. Own bathroom on suite. Studio attached to main house.
