Mafube Mountain Retreat Garden Unit near Clarens

Mafube Mountain Retreat is a secluded guest farm about 25 minutes from Clarens and is a hikers and nature lover's paradise! It is situated in a stunning amphitheater of sandstone mountains, is child friendly and has very well defined Dinosaur footprints a short hike from the chalets. The Garden unit is a small self catering unit with one bedroom and which has space for two children sleeping in the lounge area. It is surrounded by a wilderness area and with breathtaking views from every window.

Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages! This Cottage offers self-catering for 6 and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel right at home. Built in the 1900’s as stables, this Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens and it's thought that farmers would arrive by ox-wagon before sharing Nagmaal (Holy Communion). There are 2 Cottages on the premises, set apart and with own entrances for privacy.

This Luxury, fully equipped, self catering cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms, each with their own entrance. Close to the village centre but far enough away to experience the tranquility of its mountain hideaway. Luxury percale linen and soft towels are provided. Heating is in each bedroom for winter nights. The open plan living area has everything you need for a home away from home holiday. This is a unique, comfortable, fully kitted, self-catering house sleeping 8/10 people. Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. Guests will be able to enjoy absolute peace, uninterrupted views and walks in almost every direction. Please note that the property is remote and the last 200m of the access road will require a high clearance vehicle.

Clarens House Self Catering Holiday Home

Clarens House is a modern minimalistic home, with unique features, a spacious open plan living area, and creative, relaxing outdoor areas to enjoy. The house sleeps 4 guests in two ensuite bedrooms. The arrangement is open plan bedroom/bathroom upstairs and closed bathroom downstairs. A minute's walk to shops and restaurants. There is an indoor braai which acts as a fireplace. Smart TV, DSTV and wifi provided. Additional guests or children will attract extra cost.

Platteland Cottage

Our Cottage is one of three units situated on a prime location, walking distance from the square, and right next to the hiking trails. Our cottage offers 1 bedroom with a double bed, fully equipped kitchenette, lounge area with sleeper couch and outdoor seating area. You are welcome to bring your pets along by prior arrangement as the back area of the cottage has its own fenced off little garden where your pets can play freely. Pet fee = R200 for cleaning
