With nearly 6,000 square feet of living space and five bedrooms, this villa lets you indulge with a group of up to ten friends or family members. Watch the sun move across the sky and listen to birds calling in the treetops from a terrace with a swimming pool, plenty of loungers, a Sonos sound system and a charcoal barbecue. In the evenings, you can put a favorite album on the indoor sound system or post photos of your holiday via Wi-Fi, or you can watch the stars come out while soaking in the al-fresco hot tub. Villa LaGu was designed to make the most of its lush surroundings, starting with a sliding glass wall that separates the terrace from the great room. An open-concept layout means you can carry on a conversation whether lounging in the sunken sitting area, sitting at the dining table or having a snack at the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen. Each of the villa’s five bedrooms is a private retreat with a king bed, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Tucked between the Caribbean Sea and the jungle, on the verge of picturesque Tankah Bay and tranquil Soliman Bay, is Villa Sofia. This spectacular oceanfront home is one of the newest in the area—just outside Tulum—and features six bedrooms, including one in a casita. The combination of gorgeous location and spacious accommodations makes this vacation rental perfect for a getaway with friends or a relaxed holiday with extended family. The villa’s beachfront living areas feel like your very own luxury resort. Sip refreshments in the shaded sitting areas, go for a swim in the infinity pool, stretch out in the sun on a lounger or perch on one of the swings. As the sun sets, gather under the palapa for a meal at the al-fresco dining table or step inside to unwind around the satellite TV and share photos via Wi-Fi. Spread out over 6,000 square feet, the interiors of Villa Sofia are spacious and bright. At the heart is an L-shaped great room with living and dining areas that open to the terrace and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. Polished tile floors are cool underfoot, cream-colored furniture is paired with wood accents for a sophisticated look, and two sets of sliding doors flood the space with Riviera Maya sunshine. Villa Sofia has five bedrooms in its main house—four with king beds and one with two twin beds—and one bedroom in a casita. All six bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the same refined mix of neutral tones and warm wood accents, and many have private terraces with ocean views. With a king bed, sofa bed and kitchenette, the casita could be used as a honeymoon suite or a retreat for the in-laws. While you could spend your stay watching the waves crash on the beach in front of the villa or strolling on the sand, it’s well worth leaving this dreamy property to explore the area. Make the 20-minute drive to Tulum to see the unforgettable Mayan ruins, the 50-minute drive to Playa del Carmen for sun and shopping, or the 55-minute drive to Coba for more incredible archaeological sites.
