Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Location! Location! Location! This quirky but cute 1970's 4 bdrm, fully a/c'd home, boasts ABSOLUTE water frontage of Lake Tinaroo, making it perfect for all water activities. Water ski, jet ski, canoe, kayak, paddle board or fish directly from the back yard. If bird watching is more your style, sit back and enjoy the array of wildlife the property attracts or do you just need a little less stress in your life, then the tranquility of Lakeside Escape is the place for you to relax and unwind.

Lakeside Loft

The Lakeside Loft is the ultimate relaxing getaway. It is a luxury pole home, nestled in the tree tops. It boasts three levels all with breath taking panoramic views of the Lake. The back yard has direct access to the lake for water sports for most of the year. We have a canoe and kayak for guest use. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

Idriess Cottage

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. Breakfast supplies included.

Kisler Cottage - Rural retreat with a view

We call our lovely cottage "Kisler Cottage". It is located on the edge of Malanda which has all amenities, shops, period hotel, RSL , cafes and restaurants. Malanda is a great base to explore the Atherton Tablelands. Kisler Cottage is fully self contained, well appointed with quality furniture, some made by master- craftsman Victor Kisler, hence the name. The views from the cottage front deck are spectacular. So are the sunsets.

Tinaroo Wilderness Retreat

Tinaroo Wilderness Retreat is situated on over 2 acres of beautiful bushland next to Lake Tinaroo. The cottage is totally private and backs into a reserve. Only a short stroll to the lake and is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. 3 minute drive to Black Gully boat ramp, 12 minutes to Atherton mountain bike park, and Mount Baldy walking trail. It has it all — fishing, hiking, mountain biking, water sports.

Rest is a very practical 3 bedroom open planned home with a fully enclosed backyard. Sleeping up to 6 comfortably, including the family pet (please advise if they will be joining on) our home is in historic Yungaburra. Walking distance from shops and restaurants.
