Meadow Cottage is a welcoming, cosy two bedroomed retreat raised from the ruin of a Welsh longhouse. It nestles in a beautiful valley flanked by trees and hills and is the perfect place for a relaxing break. As you approach the property along the narrow country lane, be prepared to fall into the embrace of this peaceful and tranquil location. The cottage is well equipped and has a pretty garden surrounded by fields and woodland with a patio for alfresco dining or just being at one with nature.

Farm Cottage for a escape to the country

New barn conversion. I have tried to maintain the character. The decor is Agri/industrial, reusing as much of the raw materials around the farm. It has three king-size beds all on-suite. 1 x Very large bedroom upstairs with sofa and balcony and 2 smaller ground floor bedrooms. Each room has a TV and wifi. The main living room includes a kitchen, a table, a large L-shaped sofa and coffee table: an outdoor table and chairs, BBQ and a covered area for storing bikes and a EV Charger (50p/kw) etc.

My accomodation is close to The Brechfa Forest mountain biking and walking trails,. Stunning views, friendly local pubs and restaurants. . You’ll love my cottage because of the peaceful situation, newly fitted kitchen, comfortable living room with Sky TV, wifi, high quality beds, sheets and towels..Well behaved dogs are welcome at £10 each per visit, the garden is fully enclosed on all sides. Nestled peacefully in the quiet hamlet of Horeb, this semi-detached cottage has been finished to a very high standard. It has been tastefully decorated throughout and a lot of welcoming touches have been added e.g. a logburner for cosy nights in. 100 yards from the cottage is the Millenium Coastal Path and across the road the local inn - the Waunwyllt.

Only 5 minutes drive from the A40 and 2.5 miles from Whitland town which has a train station, pubs, cafes, butchers, greengrocers, launderette, Chinese takeaway and Co-op. Centrally situated to explore Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion and all the beautiful beaches West Wales has to offer.

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.

Holt Cottage is set in the countryside that Dylan Thomas would have gazed upon and has view of his Boathouse and Writing Shed.

Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.
