Feel spoilt by the elegance of yesteryear in the 1800’s manor of Mount Pleasant. Dine al fresco beside your private pool at this historic property nestled under Table Mountain. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

Romantic, Stone House with Ocean Views

Unwind at this stunning French Provencal beachside cottage. The house was lovingly built with stone floors, high-beamed ceilings, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel. Enjoy the sea and mountain views from the pool, lush garden and private patio leading off the living area Beautiful French Provencal stone cottage set in private indigenous garden overlooking Llandudno beach. The cottage was lovingly built with exceptional attention to detail, including stone floors, high beamed ceilings, antique light fittings, French wrought iron work and wooden shutters. It comprises a double bedroom with French doors leading onto private gravel patio with sea and mountain views and breakfast table shade by tall proteas, bathroom with bath and shower tiled in travertine (also mountain views!), lounge with kitchenette and covered "sundowner" patio with magnificent sea views. The lounge and kitchenette are fully equipped with TV, fridge, convection microwave, hot plates, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle toaster, coffee machine etc. There is a stone table and chairs on patio where you can sip your cocktails at sunset as well as loungers to soak up the afternoon sun while overlooking the ocean. The beautifully furnished bedroom comprises a queen-sized bed with down duvet, French antique linen and cotton quilt. Fluffy white bath towels as well as beach towels and umbrella are provided. The Victorian roll-top bath has wonderful mountain and garden views through sash windows The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden planted with indigenous plants as well as an assortment of cooking herbs, which you are encouraged to use. Guests are welcome to make use of the large swimming pool and pool loungers located next to the cottage. We also have access to squash and tennis courts as well as a yoga school located 300m from the cottage. The beach is ± - 5min walk away. There is under-floor heating throughout and a gas fire place in the lounge for cosy winter evenings Guests have access to lbeautiful landscaped garden and arge swimming pool. Cottage is a 4min walk down to the beach Owner lives on the property in a separate private residence and is always available for advice on dining, site seeing etc Situated in the spectacular enclave of Llandudno which is on the Altantic coast between Camps Bay and Hout Bay. Llandudno beach with its fine white sand and curling surfing waves is one of the finest in Cape Town, but due to the limited parking is kept unspoilt and for used mainly by locals. Shops and restaurants are a 5min drive away and Table MOuntain 10min, V&A; Waterfront 25min, Constantia Winelands 20min and Cape POint 35min.The sunsets over the Altantic Ocean viewed from the cottage patio are spectacular. LLandudno is on the MY Citi bus route to town centre Camps Bay, Hout Bay and V&A A Waterfront Cottage is serviced daily from Mon to Fri Check in is from 3pm- 6pm unless prior arrangements have been made Check out is at 11am unless prior arrangements have been made Guests have access to beautiful landscaped garden and large swimming pool. Cottage is a 4min walk down to the beach. There is also access to tennis courts situated 4 min walk from cottage. The house is located in the enclave of Llandudno Beach, a locals-only spot with unspoilt, fine white sand and curling surfing waves. Although shops and restaurants are only a five-minute drive away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Spacious Garden Apartment with View of Table Mountain

Go for a refreshing dip in a turquoise pool and relax in the garden under lush greenery. The tropical feel continues inside with hanging plants, original art, and casual furniture. This bright, breezy apartment is well ventilated and serviced daily. The space was purpose designed for Guests with simplicity and comfort in mind. The interior style is unique in that it combines Scandinavian and Dutch design influences with unique South African design products and furniture. The space is uncluttered yet personable and homely with creative interior and design touches throughout. Exceptionally spacious, the apartment is ideal for longer stay guest and people with families or babies. The garden and grounds are at full disposal of guests and the tranquil setting against the backdrop of Table mountain makes this a really beautiful place to stay. The apartment is serviced on a daily basis by a dedicated housekeeper who's responsibility it is to look after our guests. Guests have full access to the garden apartment on garden level, the pool and braai facilities. Laundry facilities are at an additional cost and do not have direct guest access. The housekeeper can arrange for washing, ironing or dry cleaning at an additional cost. Guests are welcomed and checked-in personally by myself or the Housekeeper, Fiona. I usually try to make contact at least once during the guests stay, but otherwise we give the guests their space and privacy until they need us. The apartment is serviced on a daily basis, so the guests will have daily interaction with the housekeeper to attend to any needs. I will be on standby if the guests require my advice, help or assistance. Oranjezicht, on the slopes of Table Mountain, is the oldest most historic neighbourhood of Cape Town. It boasts spectacular views of the mountain and ocean. Nature is literally on the doorstep. The apartment is also close to the city centre. The MyCity bus system is Cape Town's main form public transport in and around the city. There is a MyCity busstop 100 meters from the house. The Uber Taxi service is also very efficient, affordable and easy to use. Many tourist sites or attractions in the City are within walking distance of the property. The property is on 2 levels. The apartment and garden is on the "downstairs" level of the property and the garden and pool area is shared space on that level. There is a 3 bedroom house on the top level, also rented to guests at certain times of the year.

This stand alone cottage on our private property is located in the Bishopscourt area of the Western Cape. The cottage is an open plan lounge,bedroom with two big verandas, a kitchenette and a large bathroom with a shower and bath that opens out to a very private balcony with sun loungers and an outside shower. With magnificent views of the mountain and terrains, one can fully unwind and relax in this more than spacious cottage. This private cottage will be all yours during your stay. There are multiple lounging areas inside and outside the cottage. Our long serving housekeeper, Maks, will be there to look after you and make sure you always have what you need.She cleans and does the washing daily except on a Sunday. Located within walking distance to many stunning hikes, walking routes, mountain biking, and cycling routes. There are many places nearby that you can rent bikes and there is ample storage at the house for bikes to be stored. There is ample and secure parking on our property for the vehicle you bring along for your stay. I am usually here and am very happy to help with advice at all times. This home is in a quiet residential area with beautiful houses and leafy streets. Close to the botanical gardens and near the city. Uber Available.Safe parking on the grounds of the property. No need for Air Conditioning units as the mountain air in the mornings and evenings will be cool and crisp all year long. There is a ceiling fan, if you need additional cooling. The Table Mountain Cable Way is a few minutes drive away. Access to nearby hiking trails are within a few minutes walk.

Our studio flat is at the foot of Table Mountain close to hiking trails, 8km to the nearest beach and 4km from the City Centre. It is open plan, has a queen bed (182cm*152cm), a well-equipped kitchen, private garden, a private entrance, secure off-street parking, Wi-Fi, Netflix, and an alarm system. Guests may share our solar-heated swimming pool. (It currently has some peeling in the lining. It will be repaired over winter but is still clean and refreshing).
