The Appleton Retreat is situated on 120 acres of privately owned land. To the south, a short walk from Summer Rose, is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area where you can view wildlife or kayak; and to the north, a wooded trail leads to a secluded pond on 1,300 acres of Nature Conservancy protected land.

Woodland Cabin with Pond Frontage

10x12' cabin has a queen sized bed in a sleeping loft is just a five minute walk from the Pond . Absolute privacy in a woodland setting . Our pond 650’ of pond frontage is shared with no one else. You will be the only ones with access to it. Off grid , no running water. We provide 5 gallons outside for dishes, and 2 gallons inside for cooking. Bring your own cooler. . Solar powered led lights inside , Primitive composting toilet is located in an outhouse.
