Sundari Retreat

Serene and welcoming,Sundari Retreat was built in 2008 and is close to all amenities in Otaki. My home is bordering a very pretty farm and is sunny and private. Sundari is a self contained cottage on my property and is decorated in Balinese style with a bamboo ceiling and solid timber floors. The furnishings and artwork are also Indonesian as is the sub-tropical garden and deck area. Two minutes drive away are all the cafe's, restaurants,shops and heated swimmimg pool. You will find a boutique movie theatre in Waikanae, 15 mins drive from Otaki. 5mins walk to Skintech Beauty clinic for great massages/nails etc. 10 mins drive to Te Horo , head towards the beach and you will find Kirsty's bus stop cafe in Sims Rd. The bus is situated amid a gorgeous coastal garden. Kirsty is an ex deli owner and caterer. I guarantee you won't be able to resist her treats! Head off to the beach,walk in the bush,play golf, go mad in the outlet shops or do nothing at all! What ever you need to relax and spoil yourself, the choice is yours! Soak in the outside bath under the stars! Fabulous brick outside fireplace is also great for cosying up to under the stars. If there are 3 of you I do have a very comfortable retro caravan on the section that can be hired for an extra cost. That person would have to use the studio bathroom facilities. A continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Provence French Cottage - a Wairarapa retreat.

Light and breezy farm retreat. vintage building (circa 1950) has been updated and rebuilt to modern standard while retaining its unique charm. Situated only 5 minutes drive to Martinborough village or 9 minute drive to Greytown, this cottage is ideal spot to base yourself for a weekend and explore the many wineries and activities in the Wairarapa. ** No cooking facilities. The plumpy fireside sofa is perfect for sinking into with a glass of wine. The Gatehouse is only six minutes drive from Martinborough and 11 minutes to Greytown. It has two bedrooms with queen beds, a kitchen/dining space and bathroom with high pressure shower.

Hamden Estate Cottage

Enjoy a stay on our Martinborough vineyard. The cottage is nestled amongst the vines and offers a peaceful retreat from the city. We are 8 kilometres from the centre of Martinborough heading south on the way to Lake Ferry. You can enjoy a leisurely wine tasting at our cellar door with David who is always happy to talk wine. We will also transport you to Martinborough so that you can spend the day investigating local wineries or dine at one of the town's fine restaurants.

Cosy caravan amongst the trees

Set within 6 acres of farmland this 1977 caravan with a conservatory is a comfortable spot to get a taste of rural life, while only being 7 minutes away from the heart of Lower Hutt. As local beekeepers, we'll have honey and farm eggs from our chickens ready for you on arrival. This space is ideal for 2-4 but can work for 6 people. We’ve found it works well for families as well as adults. However, many budget savvy adult groups love it as they are happy in a smaller space.

Surrounded by Nature

The Tree House is a perfect, off-the-grid retreat for nature lovers, where you can listen to birdsong, see the sunrise from the deck and hear the river flowing in the valley. Two minutes walk and you come to The Watermill Bakery serving delicious pizza on Friday evenings. The Tree House is close to a small productive lavender farm, Lavender magic, who sell cut flowers in season, and Mount Holdsworth, where you will be able to access a wide variety of walking tracks.

Romantic and Adventurous

Ride, roam relax at our mountain bike park. Maximum peace and quiet on top of a hill with nothing but views. Once you have finished relaxing you can go for a mountain bike ride and choose from 20 tracks. Cold? No problem, the fire will be set up ready to light upon arrival. Cheese board and wine supplied when you arrive and a breakfast basket of locally sourced/ NZ made produce all included in your stay. Don't forget your togs for the hot tub with an incredible view.

Cosy Cabin ~outdoor bath~stars~donkeys

Our self-contained, double-glazed, fully insulated compact cabin is well appointed. It stands alone on our lifestyle property, private from our house with fabulous views to the Remutakas. There is an outdoor covered BBQ area. Relax in the ~bath~ under the stars. We have a small dog (Lucy), sweet barky Huntaway (Ruby), donkeys (Phoebe, Anna & Lily) & August (cat). All very friendly. One small fur baby allowed. Please advise when booking.
