Families will love this rustic mudbrick cottage on a 10 acre property within a relaxed bush setting. Enjoy amazing sunsets, watch the kangaroos from the veranda, or take a walk through local bushlands. The outdoor fire area is the perfect place to unwind and view the amazing stars on a clear night. A few minutes drive from Talbot and 15 minutes drive from the famous Clunes Book Town. Being Central Victoria we have many small towns surrounding us within an hours drive.

Have you fantasied about living in a small country town? We did! Newstead and it's community captured our hearts. The cottage is central to the wider region where cute historical gold rush towns are there be explored - Maldon, Guildford, Clunes, Daylesford & the larger towns of Castlemaine & Maryborough. A romantic stay with an unusual double shower (see photo) , a wood fire in winter great coffee, good food, art & wildlife. We are welcoming & unpretentious.

This self-contained studio is tucked below our house. It's a totally separate and private space, air conditioned, double glazed and with its own off-street parking and access. It is within walking distance to the town centre, The Mill Complex, The Bridge Hotel and the Botanic Gardens; and just a 7 min walk up the hill from the railway station. Enjoy fabulous views to the east from the lounge, bedroom and your private balcony across the town to Mt Alexander.
