The Greenhouse

An elegant cottage in the middle of town. Originally built on the banks of Macquarie Harbour, this house was moved piece by piece to Queenstown around a century ago and has recently had a lot of love. Like its surroundings, this house is filled with rich colours, raw timber, and fittings that hint at eras past. With restored furniture, a wood fire, and big windows that look out and shut tight, this cottage both honours and offers shelter from the mountains that surrounds it.

The open plan living opens out onto the deck where you will find our solid stone bath that is waiting for you!

The property is surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest which is a result of the protracted Jackeys Marsh Forest Protests. The fresh air, crystal clear water, abundant wildlife and pristine environment are all environmental values prized by the people of Jackeys Marsh. Dozens of birds, Spotted Tail Quoll, Pademelons, & Eastern Barred Bandicoot do visit, again depending on the depending on the season.
