Come enjoy this sweet little river cabin. Cozy, tastefully furnished. Lounge on the deck and listen to the river echo off the canyon wall or drive 10 minutes to world class hiking, gorge sports, vineyards, breweries, restaurants. River trails right out the door for walking, fishing, kayaking. Great spot for foraging, wildlife sitings and star gazing. Furnished kitchen, BBQ on the deck, super comfy bed. Our well is spring fed and glacial. It gets dark and quiet at night. Come reconnect.

Elsie's View: Cozy Vintage/Modern Cabin

Our 1920s cabin is nestled in the woods along the White Salmon River. 4 people max and be sure to read details about sleeping arrangements. We are best for 1 or 2 adult couples (one queen and one full bed are upstairs in each bedroom, and one full size couch is downstairs). A couple with 1-2 kids can easily work too. What doesn’t work are 4 adults who need to sleep separately - that means doubling up in one of the beds. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.

Cozy & Private A-Frame: Mount Hood National Forest

Private A-Frame (for 4 people) and separate studio bedroom/bathroom behind the garage (for 2 people.) Please note: the studio must be requested in advance. The A-Frame is on the edge of the Mount Hood National Forest. • Walk or drive to the Salmon River trailheads and Salmon River Slab. • 15 min to French's Dome. • 20 to 30 min to Timberline and Mount Hood Meadows, x-country and snow-shoeing at Trillium or Teacup. Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. Our cozy 1 bedroom (queen bed) cabin is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a relaxing escape. Located on 26 acres where deer and turkey roam. Just a few minutes away from I-84 and Hood River. Wildflower season is upon us! Our place is a great base to spend your nights after a day of hiking in the area to view the wildflowers.
