Jump on the train and travel along the Crouch Valley line to vineyards, more river walks or the quiet, unspoiled, riverside town of Burnham on Crouch. Alternatively, travel in the opposite direction and London awaits within 40mins.

'The Little House' - in the centre of Stock

'The Little House' ( my grandson's name for it it) is a hidden gem, tucked away in the centre of the lovely village of Stock. It is a detached, converted small barn with its own entrance, key box and allocated parking space in front. You'll find this accommodation light and airy and very private, decorated with a sailing theme throughout. There are two village shops (with late opening hours) , a hairdresser and beauty salon, four pubs and a cafe within less than five minutes walk.

The Pickers' Lodge

Based on the outskirts of Chelmsford this unique cabin sits on a working fruit farm. It offers a peaceful setting to work from or relax in which overlooks a small plum orchard. Just a short walk away you can pick up supplies from Lathcoats Farm Shop or use The Bee Shed Coffee House for breakfast or lunch. The Picker's Lodge offers a kettle, toaster, microwave and everything you need for something quick and easy in the evening or visit a local pub or restaurant, plenty to choose from!

Check-in is from 4pm. Check-out is by 10.00am. Early check in available for supplement as is check out. The Secret Hideaway is a self contained living space. Make use of the cooker to prepare a meal or relax watching your latest TV series. The village itself has 2 pubs and lots of walking routes nearby. Paper Mill Lock is a pleasant 30 min walk and has water sport facilities and tea room. Footpath maps available. Travel cot or single fold out guest bed avail on request, no additional cost.

You’ll love my place because of the location, it's privacy as it's a self-contained lodge with its own access, and courtyard as well as off street parking My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Newly refurbished - Ascot, like its twin Sandown, has an ample sized, well equipped kitchen with a table and four chairs and a comfy sofa that turns down to a bed in seconds. A TV is included in the kitchen. The French windows look out over your small private lawn onto farmland From the kitchen you go past the entrance lobby into a twin bedded bedroom with TV. A large modern bathroom adjoins the bedroom.
