The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

The Guest House

Nestled within the Jacoby Creek valley, near Humboldt Bay, with easy access to Arcata or Eureka; immersed in leafy surrounds, offering a variety of hiking and walking trails, perfect for nature lovers; this Guest House ensures peace and quiet while being only a very short drive to all amenities. The oversized covered front porch provides a weather protected outside living room area, ideal for gathering with friends and to enjoy the ducks and chickens that amble the expansive country yard.

Bigfoot River House

This sunny, clean oasis with mountain views is in a quiet neighborhood directly adjacent the forest. It's perfect for river-goers, Kayakers, boaters, fishermen, and sunseekers. Kimtu and Big Rock beaches are minutes away. The giant porch is perfect for grilling and out door dining, and the large, fenced in back yard is pet friendly. Take a walk through the maintained golf course neigborhood park with your dogs, cook in the full kitchen, work remotely, or dine in Willow Creek, moments away.

Coastal Trail HideAway: Eco-Friendly & Peaceful

On the Hammond Coastal Trail, cozy eco-friendly bedroom suite with expanded kitchenette, full bath, private entry, deck, yard, off-street parking. Set back hidden from the road in a bamboo oasis, it’s private and peaceful. Walk or bike to nearby river, beaches, forest. Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

This spacious chalet opens up to a south-facing wall of glass with a panoramic view of the golf course and mountains. Spend your summer days in the pool or stargaze on the spacious deck. In the winter, get cozy by the fireplace and enjoy an occasional snowfall. The chalet is a short drive to popular river spots and local shops. Just down the steps across the OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM, step into the "Shower Grotto", inside an Old Growth Redwood Stump with a Rain Shower.

Our renovated, quaint, studio cottage is a 10 minute walk to the Redwoods, 5 minutes to shops and a short drive to the beach. Little Buttermilk Cottage is nestled in a private garden setting in the quiet neighborhood of Sunny Brae.
