Ashmount cottage by the river Dane

Period cottage in a area of outstanding natural beauty within the Peak District on the banks of the river Dane. Lovely views and walking straight from the door along the river, through the woods and up onto the Roaches, Tittersworth ( Bird Sanctuary circular walk around the reservoir, 5 miles) Ashmount is strictly for 2 guests as you are in my home albeit the space is yours for the time of your stay i live in a totally separate part of the property I am close enough should you require help

Plattin Inn - Walk. Cycle. Relax

Originally a traveller’s rest on the 18th century toll road between Buxton and Macclesfield, Plattin Inn was sympathetically restored in 2011, taking advantage of its glorious Peak District Park location. Walk or cycle from the doorstep or sit on the patio and gaze at the spectacular peaks of Shuttlingsloe or Shining Tor. Being just a mile from the famous Cat & Fiddle Road, the towns of Buxton & Macclesfield are only a 15 minute car ride away. Off road parking. Smallish dog by arrangement.

Black Cat Cottage in lovely Wildboarclough

Lovely stone-built two bedroom cottage in converted barn and piggery, on a 20 acre farm overlooking Shutlingsloe. The farmhouse and cottage were renovated in 2019, but the cottage retains a rustic charm - stone built and with a stone roof, and some barn features. Walks to Shutlingsloe, Grandbach Mill, Lud's Church, the Cat and Fiddle, and Three Shire Head can all be accessed from the farm, as can the local pub and Blaze Farm for ice cream (challenging walks, includes some walking on road).

Owls Loft - cosy getaway with far reaching views

Owls Loft is a self contained cottage with a private outdoor seating area and garden. In a tranquil, rural setting, with views of the Cheshire Plain, this is a great place to recharge your batteries. It is well located to visit the Peak District, or get the train into Manchester from Macclesfield or Congleton. There are a number of National Trust properties within easy reach , as well as Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, the antique shops of Leek and the pottery towns of Stoke on Trent.

Roachside Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Roachside Cottage is situated in the beautiful Roaches Estate, a former private estate and grouse moor, now owned by the Peak District and cared for by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people, comprising of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. The views from every angle of the property are utterly breathtaking. Set within a 60 acre farm, on the outskirts of Bosley. it is within easy reach of the towns of Congleton, Macclesfield, Leek and Buxton. Alton Towers is 35 minutes away. Further afield the M6, Manchester and Manchester Airport are easily accessed.
