The Rafters Lodge

A unique VT experience! This 1860s barn was converted into a Girl Scout camp in the 1950s and served many years training leaders and scouts. Today, the Rafters continues to be a special part of many families lives, who come to enjoy the rustic camping experience and beautiful ninety acre farm. The lodge has accommodated large youth groups, families and even the occasional wedding party. With the close proximity to Stratton and Bromley, visitors enjoy countless recreational opportunities.

For many decades in the 50’s, Heritage Acreage operated here a camp; then Beaver Spring Horse Farm took over for more than two decades; In 2016 we create a vineyard and camp and gave it the name Grafton Vineyard and Gorji’s camp; we have created three cabins , one loft , and one apartment with three bedrooms and two bunker beds so far; each has a queen size bed with private bath rooms and showers and kitchen for light cooking. The camp has an area of 100 acres with two very large ponds.

Luxury King with balcony in Historic Inn, rm 10

Our oversized Deluxe King room with balcony is located upstairs in our historic Inn. Plush king bed and full bath with double sinks, bathtub and shower. Inn Room 10 comes with towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and other toiletries. The balcony has a bistro set for enjoying a coffee or happy hour. This unit also has a mini fridge and coffee maker. We provide Keurig K-cups, tea, sugars and complimentary snacks. This room sleeps 2. Inn room 10 is not pet friendly.

It's October and there's still marvelous color. We're down to the oaks and beeches. Weather's fine. To camp this season you need to be experienced and fully equipped. We appreciate guests who don’t need much beyond water off the deck, parking and scavenging wood. ALSO services available, if we can and if you give me notice, for late arrivals.
