MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 3-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. It typically has good cell phone coverage and we have wifi. Raspberry Cottage has a 17th century Scandinavian log style with a newly renovated interior, library, free berry and orchard picking, and a hiking path on 150 acres. Proximity to puffin tours, fishing, golf, the Cabot Trail, the Nfld ferry, cultural experiences, and on the way to PEI. Wifi, tv, coffee beans, tea, charcoal and propane grills, and logs for an outdoor fire circle are included. 4 star rated by Canada Select. We now have starlink fast internet! Beautiful space overlooks the beach and ocean (where the Atlantic flows into the Bras D'or Lakes). Bright, spacious, open concept living space with 10-foot ceilings. Main level bedroom and 2nd level loft, which has three single beds and half bath. The loft is very spacious and has ample headspace. Surround deck with glass. Excellent location close to amenities and festivals. Great place to get away from it all ..peaceful. The private beach is a hidden gem.

Surrounded by peaceful meadows and panoramic views of the highlands, guests are able to retreat and relax while being a short drive from the bars and restaurants of Chéticamp. Only 5 minutes to the beach! There's a General Store that carries everything from groceries to camping supplies (and much more) open late -- only a hop, skip and a jump away from the house.

Welcome to “Point Beithe” (birch point in Gaelic). This beautiful home sits on its own point surrounded by 180° of Mira River waterfront age. You will also enjoy access to your own small private island that is connected by a shallow sand bar. Sit out on the large deck or floating dock to enjoy the views of the river, launch kayaks, paddle boards, and swim. We have signed up for the strongest internet service offered in the area (Starlink). Cellular reception is not great in the area.
