The old trail cabin.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

Puffin Pod at Sally's Brook Luxury Eco-Resort

The Puffin Pod is an allergy-friendly sleeping pod (no pets) with a cozy living room and double bed in the bedroom. This cabin is a 5-7 minute walk from the main parking lot, up-hill - which is why is has some of the best views! The Cookhouse is very closeby with Wi-Fi, basic staples like coffee & tea, everything you need to cook and store your food, and board games. The Washhouse is also closeby, with heated eco-friendly bathrooms and showers. Free access to wood-fired sauna and snowshoes!

Located 1 minute from the Englishtown Ferry to the Cabot Trail, between Baddeck and North Sydney, and just across the ferry the beautiful Cape Breton Highlands National Park the perfect base for exploring Cape Breton.

MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 4-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. We upgraded our wifi to high speed fiber in 2026. Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Canopy

The Canopy is the 2nd largest of the 3 wilderness cabins, and closest to the washrooms, nestled among the forest which leads down to the waterfront. All the cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature. The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.
