Custom designed and hand-built by the hosts, this backyard cottage is a sanctuary in the city. After a day of exploring nearby beaches, beautiful parks, kayaking the sound or eating your way through the Farmer’s Market, come home and unwind on the private deck. Free street parking! A short walk to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s. Finished in 2016, this new, custom-built studio cottage is tucked away in a private setting. The 400 sq. ft. craftsman style space is thoughtfully designed to incorporate natural daylight through large windows and high pine wood cathedral ceilings. The tasteful, modern craftsman interior creates a cozy home away from home and offers all you need for an overnight or an extended stay. Your fully equipped kitchen offers quartz countertops, a sink with Grohe faucet, petite 4-burner stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (coffee provided!), and everything you need to prepare meals, if you prefer to eat in. You'll sleep comfortably in the queen sized bed with new memory foam mattress and enjoy a full bathroom with a brand new tiled shower/tub. A CB2 Flex Full-size Sleeper Sofa (rated best sleeper sofa by Apartment Therapy) can accommodate another guest. Your cottage is set back from the street in our private backyard, atop our garage (not parked in, and rarely opened), surrounded by trees and a greenbelt behind our house. It is designed to be eco-friendly with SIP panels, LED lighting, heat pump water heater and radiant floor heating. Serene, healthy, and beautiful - and close to everything! It's perfect for out of town guests, vacationers, a staycation, or business travelers. You have the benefit of a completely private space above our detached garage with full 24-hour access, free on-street parking, and a private entrance. There are 12 stairs from the driveway to the cottage, which is a second story unit. Fresh sheets and towels are provided for longer visits, upon request. Privacy is all yours, though we're happy to help you with navigate our neighborhood and Seattle, and provide recommendations if desired. West Seattle is a sought-after neighborhood that is perfect for foodies, shoppers, families, adventurers, outdoor lovers and those visiting the city and the great Pacific Northwest--and only a 10-15 minute drive from downtown! Visit famous Alki Beach & take a walk along Lincoln Park. Walk to one of our many locally owned coffee shops, or pick up some fresh flowers or artisan made goodies on Sundays at the local Farmer's Market. Enjoy one of our many delicious restaurants. The cottage is so walkable! Your cottage is very close to the Metro city bus lines (1-3 blocks depending on what # bus) which provides easy access to hot spots like West Seattle’s own Alki Beach, a sandy Puget Sound beach with a walking/bike path, paddle boarding, canoes, and numerous eateries and coffeehouses, or beautifully wooded Lincoln Park with walking trails and huge native trees. Or zip downtown Seattle (10-15 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bus) to the take in the Waterfront, Pike Place Market, retail shopping, music venues, Seattle Center and the Space Needle, Washington State Convention Center, Starbucks headquarters, Seattle Art Museum and Pioneer Square art galleries, Safeco Field (baseball), CenturyLink Field (football), or a Washington State Ferry and much more. Light rail is also available to and from SeaTac airport with one bus transfer. You can also access Car2Go in Seattle if you have a membership. Street parking is free for Car2Go anywhere in the city. If the Pine St. Cottage is your base camp, you will be within walking distance of all the world class dining and cultural experiences that fill the Pearl St. Mall and downtown Boulder. There is easy access to a number of hiking trails within minutes of the front door. No need for a car with easy access to the Downtown Boulder Bus station and regular buses to Denver, DEN airport, as well as into the mountains to our local ski resort Eldora. We highly recommend utilizing the Boulder Bcycle system for getting around town. The Pine St. Cottage is fully licensed, and operating legally, as authorized by the City of Boulder.

Riverside Grouse Creek Inn

Listen to the burbling river from the private hot tub to a mountain backdrop, while the deep jetted tub in the main bathroom is an equally welcome sight. The gourmet kitchen has a Viking stove, while the wood-rich interior includes 2 gas fireplaces. New luxury king mattress and bed in the main bedroom! This property used to provide the "Rooms on the River" when it was part of the Minturn Inn on Main street. Now this coveted spot is all for you. Tucked out of the way on a quiet street it's the perfect place to relax after a hard day of mountaineering. The apartment consists of the great room and the master bedroom suite. The master bedroom has a king bed, private bedside fireplace, en-suite bathroom with jetted bath tub, glass shower and hot tub right outside your bedroom door. The main room contains a queen bed with privacy curtains which has direct access to the main bathroom and shower. The main room also contains a full gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar, round table that seats 6, 50" tv with cable, and pull out sleeper sofa. The apartment opens directly out to the yard right on the river. The entire apartment is private including private entrance. The yard is shared with us, however we rarely use it since our children prefer the front/street side of the house where they can ride their bikes! My wife or I will often be out fly-fishing in our backyard river in the summer evenings. We're happy to share the space and tell you what's biting! Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible. Or even high-heel accessible. Boots are recommend to walk through the shoveled path that takes you to the riverside entrance. There is a rope handrail to help guide you but you must be sure-footed. Our family of four live in the completely separate upstairs. I'm normally available for anything that comes up, but do not want to impede on your relaxing riverside vacation. Minturn is a small ski town away from the bustle of Vail and Beaver Creek. Stroll to several restaurants, a winery, quaint gift shops, a record store, and perhaps the best fly shop in the mountains. Ski, raft, and mountain bike just minutes away. There is free parking in the driveway. There is a bus stop a 3-minute walk away that will take you to Vail for $4. Ubers and taxis are also available. Our home and property is non-smoking. No pets please. Pack n' Play with fitted sheet in unit. Ironing board/iron, fan, extra blankets, picnic basket/backpack, hair dryer in each bathroom.
