Renovated in June 2025, to include a full kitchen, this quiet, wooded property is .5 miles from DeSoto Falls, 7 miles from the Mentone town center, .5 miles from Shady Grove Dude Ranch, and adjacent to Fernwood of Mentone. The properties of Mountain Laurel Inn lie on the outskirts of DeSoto State Park, and offer easy access to trails and hiking.

This is a mother in law suite that is located right at the foot of Lookout Mountain and just in front of Weiss Lake. Here you are less than a mile from a public boat access. Minutes away from Cherokee Rock Village, Little River Canyon, Little River, Coosa River, and Neely Henry Lake. The suite sets just above our attached garage that you will have a parking space in to keep you out of the weather. It has its own door and is separate from the main house.

The location is right around the corner from City Park for loading and unloading and Goosepond Colony. Free EV charger in premises, plenty parking even if you have a fishing boat . ! Absolutely no smoking in the house if you have to smoke you can do it outside.!

There are hiking and biking trails and a swimming pool with cabana and playground for children. This getaway is somewhat remote to shopping or other city amenities. Scottsboro is about 20 miles away.
