Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

The Nest is tucked into a grove of hemlocks, high above the creek and valley below. All types of vehicles have made the trek up the driveway, but we recommend 4-wheel drive. The seclusion of The Nest is unmatched and this tiny modern marvel comes with all you ask for, and so much more. Less than 25 min to downtown Asheville and minutes from the quaint mountain towns of Marshall and Mars Hill. Enjoy activities like hiking, skiing, and zip lines. You can spend your evenings relaxing by the fire or venture out into the area where there is lots to see and do. Asheville is only a few minutes away and is home to some of the best restaurants you can find. Arts, crafts, shopping etc. are at your fingertips as well as tons of hiking trails.

Hannah’s Farmhouse

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. We are located 20 minutes from Tusculum College and Greeneville and 45-50 minutes from Johnson City. A beautiful country farmhouse with a view of the Smoky Mountains and a hot tub to relax in. Our dear Grandma Hannah lived here before she passed away in February of 2023. We want the place to be a testimony to who she was—loving God and people and always friendly and hospitable!

Belton Retreat

Belton Retreat is a 420 acre vacation destination. Sit in a front porch rocker while overlooking fields and a farm pond. Catch a glimpse of deer and turkey. Go for a hike on 10 mi. of trails thru mature hardwood forest. We have 4 ponds, a creek and numerous streams. This is a working farm so we are always doing farmsy stuff. Belton Retreat is far more than a home to rent, this get-away is an experience you’ll want to enjoy again!
