Enjoy a stay of charm and heritage at a 1906 Brown County home known as Helmsburg Station. It was originally owned by the Helm's of Helmsburg, IN and has been completely renovated from the exterior walls inward during 2019. Helmsburg Station pays tribute to the history of its quaint location as the original direct route from Indianapolis to Brown County via the railroad line. From Helmsburg, the rest of the route to Nashville was by horse and wagon or by foot. Check out our new drone photos!

The Hidden Shroom

The Hidden Shroom is nestled in the woods in a quite neighborhood within walking distance of Nashville. The space is pet friendly with a fenced in yard. Two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen, outdoor patio with a hot tub & two person sauna. The apartment is in a finished basement with a private exterior entrance. Downtown Nashville is about a 15 minute walk and Hard Truth Hills, The north entrance to the Brown County State Park and the Brown County Music Center are all just a short drive away.

Our place is close to Indiana University, IU athletics, I-69/37 to Indianapolis, great views, family-friendly activities, nightlife, restaurants and dining. You’ll love our place because of the privacy - and the friendly neighbors (us), the beautiful outdoor space, the kitchen/great room, the hardwood floors, and the volleyball court and large yard. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets - but no cats).

Walk right next door to the Porthole for delicious pizza, stuffed breadsticks and cold drinks after an action packed day on the lake. Gather around the firepit for s’mores! Our lake home is the perfect mid-way point between IU Bloomington and Nashville (Brown County) Indiana! Catch an IU game, stay by the lake while you’re in town to visit family, or make us your home base while you explore quaint Nashville!
